Brant Pier

Did you know yesterday was Rare Disease Day? The pier was lit up in the evening in honour of the day, joining the Global Chain of Lights.

Lisette Kingo and the Angel Project are champions of Rare Disease Day and for people with rare diseases in Burlington. And Lisette is a force to be reckoned with, so rare diseases, watch out!

The Sheriff Burger

Arber Xhekaj received the nickname The Sheriff while playing in Hamilton, he now has a new burger with this namesake created and served by Montreal Restaurant chain La Chambre. $1.00 from every sale is split between 2 charities, The Angel Project, which provided care for his mother suffering from cancer, and a local Montreal foundation, named Inter-Culture who helps the integration of new immigrants in the area of Montreal South Shore. Smith Business Students

Smiths Business Students, including our very own Angel Ambassador Maija Kingo banded together and raised funds for The Angel Project.

Anthony got his own Apartment Today!

On of our Patients, Anthony, got his very own apartment today that The Angel Project furnished. Anthony has also written a book about his situation and how the public put limitations on his disability, it’s called the Footprints of Funny Feet, click on the pic to check it out on Amazon!

Arber and Florian Xhekaj of the Montreal Canadiens held a meet and greet fundraiser which raised $7,300.00 on behalf of the Angel Project at The End Zone in Hamilton this August. Thank you to the entire Xhekaj Family for their time and support, The End Zone in Hamilton for Hosting, and for the fans who attended and generously donated.
